Earlier this month, we had the chance to attend LAAD Defence and Security 2025 in Rio de Janeiro — a major event for the defence sector in Latin America. It was a busy few days, but a genuinely worthwhile one for Richmond Defence Systems.

We were proud to see our products featured at the show through our partner, Sarkar Tactical, who are doing a great job representing our work in the region. It’s always rewarding to see how our equipment is being received in different markets — and even more so when it’s supported by experienced partners who understand both the product and the people using it.
A real highlight of the trip was connecting with members of the Brazilian EOD community. These weren’t just surface-level conversations — they were grounded, thoughtful discussions about real-world challenges and operational needs. We left with a stronger sense of how our systems can support teams on the ground, and where there’s room to do even more.
Events like LAAD can be intense, but what made this one stand out was the openness of the people we met — the willingness to share experience, to talk through ideas, and to explore practical ways of working together.
For Richmond Defence Systems, this kind of face-to-face time is invaluable. We’re not in the business of just selling kit — we’re here to support the people who rely on it. That starts with listening, and it continues with strong partnerships, honest conversations, and solutions that are built for the realities of modern EOD work.
A big thank you to everyone we met in Rio — and especially to those who took the time to speak with us. We’re looking forward to what comes next.
