Richmond Defence Systems Welcomes REA Bomb Disposal Branch

Updated: Nov 10, 2025

Richmond Defence Systems has had the pleasure of hosting members of the Royal Engineers’ Association Bomb Disposal Branch for a dedicated product demonstration day.

The visit brought together colleagues from across the country, beginning at our headquarters in Norfolk before moving to a firing range in Suffolk, where equipment was put through its paces.

The day allowed us to showcase our products in action and give attendees hands-on experience with the systems we design and build. It was a privilege to welcome such an experienced and knowledgeable cohort, and we greatly valued the feedback and discussion that followed each demonstration.

A special thank you goes to our team for delivering a well-organised and successful event, and to Cliff Wright and our own Chris Hawthorne for helping to bring the cohort together. We were also honoured when our Operations Director, Oliver Gilbert, and Product Manager, Nicholas Gilbert, were presented with an Association shield and badges as a gesture of appreciation.

We want to thank everyone from the REA Bomb Disposal Branch who joined us for making the day such a success, and we look forward to continuing our close relationship in the future.
