The CSL 34 EMA Electro Magnetic Actuator is a high-power electromagnetic system designed to stop and hold certain clockwork fuze mechanisms, allowing controlled and deliberate render-safe procedures to be carried out. By applying a sustained magnetic field, the EMA enables operators to intervene safely in scenarios involving mechanical fuze timing systems.

The kit is supplied as a two-barrow system to support field deployment. One wheeled barrow houses the high-capacity battery pack, while the second carries the electromagnet assembly itself. This separation improves handling, positioning, and system stability during operation.

The EMA is operated via a hard-wired remote control with an integrated cable reel, allowing the operator to maintain a safe distance from the target while retaining precise control. A portable generator unit is also included to extend operating time during prolonged tasks or when external power sources are unavailable.
