CSL 33 LDR

Towable Light Drilling Rig

The CSL 33 LDR Light Drilling Rig provides a fast and efficient method for drilling boreholes during magnetometer surveys, supporting the location of buried unexploded bombs. Designed for use with electronic locators such as the Vallon VX1 and Ferex 4.034, the rig enables operators to confirm findings by quickly drilling to the required depth for inspection and clearance.

Beyond its primary role in survey operations, the Light Drilling Rig is also suitable for a wider range of engineering tasks, including drilling holes for explosive placement, water tapping, and the deployment of pylons or fence posts. Its versatile design makes it a valuable asset for both explosive ordnance disposal teams and engineering units operating in challenging environments.

The rig features an integrated towing chassis with a standard NATO towing eye, independent suspension, all-terrain wheels, and tail lighting. When packed for transit, the rig maintains a low centre of gravity, allowing for safe and fast towing across rough terrain. Powered by an integrated four-stroke engine driving a hydraulic pump, the rig is available in diesel and petrol configurations. A seven-piece auger set enables boreholes to be drilled to depths of up to seven metres, supporting deep ground access for survey and engineering applications.
